CONCLUSION NEVER COMES. Collection of drawings of Madeira– Coleção de desenhos da Madeira
Born from the initiative of company administrators Rosana Rodrigues in Funchal and Lisbon-based Luiz Augusto Teixeira de Freitas, the Coleção de desenhos da Madeira (CDM), otherwise known as CDM, began to take shape in the second half of 2002. It is curated by Brazilian Adriano Pedrosa, with extensive experience in both private and corporate collections. The CDM focuses on contemporary drawing, as this form of expression has been gathering widespread interest as well as a significant upsurge over the past few years.

Based on the concept: new discoveries / ocean of words. The exhibition offers a panoramic view of the vast expanse of Latin American artistic creation, which experiments with and explores the aesthetic role of language: from the different styles of visual poetry (Concretism, Lettrism, etc., movements which emerged along with the avant-gardes – especially since the mid-seventies), to the so-called and most recent “electronic poetry” or “digital poetry”.
